Reggie Miller is considering coming back to join the Celtics?! Can KG, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and possibly Reggie Miller make the Celtics serious contenders for a championship? What teams are your picks for serious championship contention this upcoming season?

Die hard Laker fan here. In the West i think it will come down to some of the same teams. Spurs, Dallas ,Phoenix ,Utah In the East,i see Miami as a very underated team that a lot of people are forgetting about. Wade and Shaq had a lot of injuries last season. My top 4 teams in the East would be the Bulls, Heat, Cavs, Celtics. It's going to take a good year for Boston to develop chemistry to become a championship team. I think they win 50 games and get to the 2nd round and look to take it to another level the following year. NBA Finals Heat vs Spurs

Die hard Laker fan and you don't list your team in the top 4 of the conference?! I guess you're keeping it real. I can agree with your West picks but I'll take the Pistons over the Celtics, they're just a tougher team to beat! The Celtics will need to develop chemisty to get above 500, giving them 50 games is reaching! KG isn't that great! My wife is excited about Penny signing with the Heat but I doubt he'll be a factor. The Heat is starting to look like an old folks home! NBA Finals Pistons vs Suns...My Spurs will be in the playoffs but I don't think they'll go all the way.

Honestly, I dont want to see the spurs or the pistons in another NBA Finals for a while. They're style of basketball may win but hard nosed defense is not entertaining. I'm hoping for maybe a Suns vs. Chicago/Boston Championship. I'm pulling for both teams. Chicago may be young but there hustle and drive qualifies them for that final spot. At the same time, the veterans, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, all deserve a ring for the decade they put in trying to get they're horrible teams into the playoffs.

I think Boston definitely has the talent to compete for the championship. However, I am not sure if their age will be a factor late in the year with respect to endurance. I predict the championship for 2008 will be Dallas Versus Cleveland.

I got to go against you on this one TSU. Lebron is not getting back there this year. Especially with his franchise not making any significant moves. He tried the 1 on 3 thing last year with the spurs and that didn't turn out so well. Simply put, King James can't be a King without help and that he doesn't have.

The Big 3 in Beantown are showin and provin, but like TSU said, let's see what happens as the year wears down and they wear down with it.

I'm a huge Celtics fan, but I don't see a championship this year, maybe next year, but not this one. Give them a chance to get a feel for each other before we start talking "D-Y-Nasty". They aren't the Celtics of the 60s... yet....

It's gettin HOT in the playoffs! Lakers swept the Nuggets. 4-0 Orlando sent Toronto back across the border. 4-1 The Spurs, Hornets, Jazz and Cavaliers are on the verge of sending their opponents home at 3-1. Looks like The Celtics and Pistons are having a hard time with the 8th and 7th seeded, Hawks and 76ers! :o 2-2
