if you don't know it by now... it's down to the Pistons and the Spurs.... both teams rely on defense both teams have no big standout stars (okay the Spurs have Tim Duncan) [i know the Pistons have standout stars, but they are so good as a team, you don't really have to name anybody] both teams are real big on team play... Popovich can coach his **** off, as much as i hate to say. Larry Brown is the teacher of the game... Joe Dumars knows how to pick his winning squad... so....... you don't have to choose sides, but when it boils down to it... i really don't like the Spurs... they remind me too damn much of the New England ****-**** Patriots.... sooooooooooooooo.... with that said... i gotta do it for my uncle a year later and root for Detroit... besides i'ma Eastern Conference person anyways :grin: Pistons in six or seven, it's gonna be a fight

I think that the Spurs will run off with the championship. These are both good teams, and I see it being much like the Eastern conference finals, but Detriot falling somewhat short. Both of them have depth, but I just see Spurs with slighly more depth. They have a great bench that can produce great both ways. Spurs already knocked out a top ranked team (Suns), I think its time for them to do it again.

Truth be told, I don't like the spurs either (but new england is one of my favorites). They are just WAY TOO boring. They a bunch of blue collar punks. I remember last time they one. It was so wack. Just the celebration and junk. At least the pistons put a lil flava in it. They come out w/ the champ :-D . Larry Brown is bogus for that lol. But I call Pistons. Why: their the champs. All season they haven't even had a great record like that, and even in the playoffs they weren't straight up dominant, but they still found ways to win. Even over my heat...Like I said before, whoever it is, the east is gonna take it anyway.

I pick the Pistons to take the series. Time and time again, the national media makes it seem as if The Spurs invented defense. You can't neglect that during the Pistons championship run of a year ago, the Pistons posted the best defensive average. This year, the Spurs hold that mark. Does that mean that the Spurs should win this year. Not by a long shot. They fall into the same category as the Lakers of 2004 and Miami of this season. When it's time to go against a formidable opponent, they haven't been tested. Miami walked through the eastern conference playoffs easily handling New Jersey and Washington. Those are hardly the defensive animal that the Pistons are. San Antonio went the same way walking over Denver, Seattle, and Phoenix and we all know that each of those teams plays about as much defense as a toddler learning to play the game and is, instead, more fascinated by the bouncing ball. Then everybody tries to point to the Pistons bench. I don't see an issue with the bench. Four men come off. Most teams don't extend it past 2 during the playoffs. The Pistons have Lindsay Hunter, Elden Campbell, Antonio McDyess, and Carlos Arroyo. If they're slouches, then I would make that same assumption for Rasho Nesterovic, Udrih, Robert Horry, and Brent Barry. The thing is, out of both teams, every bench player except Udrih started somewhere. That would give the edge to the Pistons. Besides, the Pistons are the champs.
