Intellectual Free Post

....aiight, so I see people starting free posts all the time, I figure I can do it too. Only twist is, if you gon' post something......let it be intellectual (i.e nothing about a party, grad nite, or shout-outs) something tells me this post is gon' die quickly....... :roll: oh well, i gave it a shot!

ooooooooooooooooooooook, about Soul Plane....sadly I saw this movie. And what is even more sad than that.....i laughed......i laughed loud and I laughed **** certain sections. Please, don't hate me for it....it wasn't my fault! it was on bootlegg and I had to watch it!! That African dude had me dyin'....."you don't know the African crab.....THEY ARE HUNTAS!!!" LOL LOL ok, on a more serious note. That movie **** me off because I know that if black people got a airline, it wouldn't be like that. And it was a bad movie anyway....i mean, what was the plot? the purpose. I mean c'mon, that is just downright disprespectful. I mean, strippers?? I liked the popeyes idea, but the whole thing about passing it back and stuff, that's just wrong. It hurts cause now if we do get an airline.....people will be afraid to invest in it because Soul Plan will flash in front of their mind. The thing about black people on TV is that any little thing people see us doing on TV automatically think we all live like that. White Chicks.......i on't know.....i think more white people should be offended by this than us. You know if it was called Black Chicks....it woulda been riots and sh*t gon' on......Johnny, Jesse, and Al would start a march somewhere and be talkin' about boycott Hollywood. That goes to show you, White folk got so much power, they can stay cool and take hits that would ordinarily knock the next person out.

I'm one of those who simply looks at the movie as entertainment. Its a comedy, the whole basis of comedy is stereotyping and outrageous situations that we all should know are unlikely and ludicrous. I mean, its comedy. White comedies do the same thing. American Pie, Half-Baked, Dumb and Dumber, Eurotrip, I mean I can go on and on. Most comedies, unless a satire, dont really have a point to them or much of a plot. If you're looking for some kinda in-depth story you went to the wrong movie. :roll:

^^^true , but when is the last time a black drama has been made. White people dont get mad at their comedies because there is a balance. Everytime there is a black movie it is always a LAUC. Laugh At Us Comedy
