i feel ya, carlene....i don't really c tha point either, but....everyone has their reasons.... & with all of that said...finally got a chance 2 read tha rest of this thread (from where I last replied)....&... Nia, I'm not gonna try to preach to u....'cause I see some have, and I do agree with most (those who went about it the right way, that is :roll:...i.e. Tres...& EJ, sorta....) It's almost ALways easier givin' advice when u're lookin' from the outside inwards....& to u and everyone else up here....i know i've seen females or people period (but mostly females) who have their hearts so set on a situation in love that u could talk for ten years str8...& they still ain't tryna hear it... That's why I say that...disregarding the str8-up negative stuff said in this thread that really had no relevance to ya news....you should really take heed to some of the advice....some (SOME) of these people r really just trying to help, y'know....you don't have to take the advice, necessarily (& i know u ain't)...but just keep it all in mind.... & u know Black folkz gonna alwayz give their 2 centz anyway, whether it be good or bad OR whether u asked (or like it) or not, lol...that's just us - we can't keep quiet.... & like I believe it was Tres that said early on in the thread....if ya love with this person & the future with him is all u makin' it up to be...& u feel ya 110% in all of it....then none of this should've really gotten to u offensively....u just gotta do you.... i wish ya congratulationz one more time...as well as much luck whatever your choice ends up being....& whether or not u do end up marrying him.... whatever's meant to be...will be...

If you can't tell your parents about it...that could be a sign. We had a discussion about something similar on saturday at a church event and the lady was like everybody was telling her No...don't do it...but she did anyway because she was in love....and she became a battered wife <----not saying this will happen, but sometimes you have to take heed to what people say. Then sometimes you just have to say F it and learn the lesson.
