I've been to countless events all over the country...superbowl in Atlanta, New Orleans and Miami, All Star weekend in Atlanta and L.A., Essence Festival in New Orleans, Pro Bowl in Hawaii, 3 times to Miami for Memorial day weekend, 2 times to Miami for Springfest, 2 times to Miami for Labor Day, Miami Music Festival, 2 times to Vegas for the MAGIC Show and MANY other events where Black people attend to have a good time and I HAVE NEVER, EVER, EVER seen Black people behave so ignorantly (is that a word?) as I did in Vegas last week for All Star! Walking around throwing up gang signs, being loud, unruly, disrespectful to women, feet on the blackjack table at MGM, fighting -- actually physically fighting over cabs in front of Ceasars Palace, 2 people got shot at Ceasars Palace and one girl actually got **** running across the street. I thought I seen it all until someone had a 40 ounce bottle of beer on the blackjack table! Young women were walking around the casino in mini dresses and pumps at 10am! Body parts hanging out all over the place. People come to Vegas from all over the world and for the first time I was actually embarrassed for my race because people who dont know any better may actually think that all Black people behave that way. Dont get me wrong, there were thousands of blacks who behaved with class, but the ones who didnt out shined us all! It was so sad to think that in February 2007, black history month at that, some Black people still dont get it. Our ancestors GAVE THEIR LIVES so we could have the opportunity to go to places like Las Vegas and enjoy the same luxuries and rights as others. Ive been to Vegas several times and it was never that way. I felt so sad, I felt like I was walking among a lost generation of people without any cultural identity, self respect or self pride that are doing nothing but moving our race backwards.....Am I the only one that felt this way?

Ive been to vegas numerous times and people dont dress up like that in the daytime in the casino unless they are going to a show. People dress comfortable in the casinos and on the strip because there is alot of walking involved and most people are in the casino to gamble, eat, or shop, not just walk around idle. And yes, people do dress that way in miami when there is an event going on...and thats lame too...I dont think women should get all dressed up in pumps, minis and full face makeup with no where to go...thats just my opinion. You can tell the difference between the locals and the tourists by the way they dress, me, myself, I prefer to blend in with the people who act like they've been somewhere..so I always opt for casual chic attire
