I've been here since my freshman year (2001). I wasn't an actualy resident here my first year, I just always ended up crashin in my boy's room on the couch, so I wouldn't have to walk back to Scott. Since then I've been here. The best way I know how to straighten ol' boy out is to do what my friends did yo me (which I wrote a small novel about in like the second post). I dunno of a more sure fire way to get him to come out of his shell than that. Worked for me. :wink: But I'd also encourage you to ask him why he likes being alone.
Oh yes... the suites.... you will have NO problem chillin with other people if by chance u and ya roommate don't click too hard. U got the whole co-ed thing so if he wants to study, chill with the girls that live 2 door down! U never really know til u meet this cat. He might be aight..HELL... he might help u pass a class or something! Just wait and see... worse some to worse... at the end of the semester, apply to get a new one!!
Chill out.....jus cuz ur roomate may not be someone who u wanna hang wit.....its not the end of the world. He is jus ur roomate-thats it-he dont have to be ur "**** buddy" or nothin. I didnt like my first roomate i had-and i made clear to her that we are roomates not friends cuz she was on the crazy side (whats wrong wit yall neegroes across da water??! :? ). But anywhoo, they will be plenty of people for u to meet n greet-trust. Those first few weeks of school are the best....and who knows he might turn out to be an ok person after all. 8)

Yea that is prolly the first conversation we'll have. i just enjoy going out and meeting new people and i hope he does too. wouldn't get on ya nerves if everytime u came in ya room, he was in there, just chillin???

yea i know what u mean by i ain't gotta be friends with him, but i would like to be able to chill wit him, i mean really its kinda hard to be living with somebody for 9 months and not be cool. but you're right in the sense that i need to wait and see, and that he really can be ok.

YES! IT DOES! My roomate this year was like that. But he always had his stupid lil' cronies with him too. :evil: I swear all the did was play video games and watch ****. And for some odd reason they didn't like ventilation. I'd walk in the room and it would smell straight up like NUTZ. At the beginning of the year him and his lil cockeyed girlfriend would be in there all the time. Couldn't even take a damn shower. I'd come out and hear "Wooooo.... take it off!!!" :evil: I made the mistake of waking up one night when she was spending the night of waking up, and heard her giving him head. And she swallowed!! and had the nerve to say "Hmmm... not as salty as I thought!" Jesus... let me stop... I could go on and on... :roll:

Naw it aint hard livin with someone and hardly speakin to them.....trust-if yall dont talk-yall dont talk-but more than likely ur roomate probably be cool wit u.
