Herstory (no, this isn't from the Lifetime Channel...)

Okay, back on track with the original purpose of this thread: 3 women who are influential: 1. My mother-She raised me in the way I should go. (Including my father, but this thread is geared towards women.) 2. My sisters-I look to them for advice and guidance. 3. Oprah Winfrey-I look to her as a role model, because I will also be a billionaire and a philantropist.

My mom – As a child, she always made sure I was clothed, feed, and healthy. When I had questions about homework, my mom always offered her assistance. My mother has definitely played a critical role in my life. I am very appreciative of her sacrifices and love. Grandmother – She taught me how to respect myself and other people. She made sure I strived for excellence by encouraging me to obtain an education. Rosa Park – She fought to provide me an opportunity to excel as an African American man. If it were not for her bravery, I would not have an opportunity to live in a desegregated society. I am inspired by her bravery to take calculated risks in life. Everything we want is on the other side of fear.
