HBCU Fellas' "Beauty of The Month" - April 2008

Gabrielle Union Gabrielle Monique Union was born on October 29, 1972, to Theresa and Sylvester Union in Omaha, Nebraska. However, at the age of 8, her family moved to Pleasanton, California, where she grew up and attended high school. In high school, Gabrielle was an all-star point guard and a year round athlete participating in soccer, basketball, and track. Studying to become a lawyer, she attended the University of Nebraska before moving on to Cuesta College. She eventually transferred to UCLA and earned a degree in Sociology. She got her start in modeling and moved into acting. Gabrielle was the first ever African-American love interest of any of the cast members on the TV Show "Friends" back in 1994. She has acted in movies such as "Love & Basketball", "Bring It On", "Deliver Us From Eva", "Bad Boys II" and "The Perfect Holiday". Her upcoming projects include episodes of "**** Betty" and the movies: "Cadillac Records" and "Meet Dave". Gabrielle Union, you are the HBCU Fellas' "Beauty of The Month" for April 2008.
