Well...wait before you try it...you must first cornroll your hair into 8 cornrolls straight back and before you cornroll each piece you put moose on it and then cornroll it...then when you take it out the next day you'll have a cute crinkly hair style....DARN  I'm tellin my secrets.....
I usually braid and unbraid, so the moose just keeps it together. interesting.
But thanks everybody, I’ll be using these tips in the future.
Here theres a braiding salon in a hair salon usually
well this all good to know. I usually get my hair either cornrolled or that young press-n-curl. anybody know a place or someone who can do a good press-n-curl and they wash it too??? I guess when I get to Howard I will have to learn how to take care of my own hair because I won't have the luxury of asking my mom for money every 2 weeks to go to the shop. DANG!!!
My hair is thick and i hate to be bothered with it, so low maintenance stuff is good for me. My whole first semester i had individuals, and just kept retouching them myself. Second semester...i wore it natural (ie. twists, crinkly, afro puff). I really didn't know about the whole "natural"/"relaxed" thing until i started goin to HU, but it makes a BIG difference in which hair dresser u choose becuz alot of beauticians can't press really well over there becuz they're used to workin with relaxed hair. The lady i went to for the few times i got a press is a little bus trip down georgia. Not super close, but the price ($25) and longlasting press is worth it. If u have relaxed, it's alot of peeps closer to HU that could hook u up. Trust me, you'll be gettin all kinds of handbills and advertisements as soon as u get there.
As far as braids go...u can find HU peeps to do it for much cheaper than beauticians. It's a black school, so you're bound to find someone on your floor, in your class, or even your roomate might braid. If not, people will have flyers up in the dorms in no time to make some doe. Same for guys. I know alot of guys that went to homiez in drew or another dorm to get a cut. It's always someone. If not...there are barber shops all up and down georgia. Don't know if they are good or not tho.
