I plan on applying to :
Morgan State
Norfolk State
Hampton University
Howard University(MY NUMBER ONE CHOICE)
As of now, I have a cumulative GPA of 2.4 & a year-to-date GPA of 3.0.It's low because I slacked my sophomore year, but I have really, really improved as a student. I am enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician program at my school that is three credits towards my graduation & also allows me to receive two college credits. I have taken my state exam & I am now a certified pharmacy technician. I have been doing clinicals at a long term care pharmacy. I am currently doing clinicals at Walgreens. The both of these clinical experiences count as community service hours as well. I am also volunteering at a well respected local hospital. I have work experience & I am currently employed. Throughout my high school career, I have been in the following extracurricular activities: Key Club, Drama Club, FCCLA, SCA Vice President of Activities, LGS, History Society, Uzuri, Photography Club, & I've even been a member of Who's Who Among American High School Students.
I plan to apply to Howard University Early Action this fall!
What colleges listed above do you honestly believe I'll be admitted to?

Hey kennini,
Here is some good advice. Looking at your GPA, you could get into those three schools but your SATs and ACTs must be on point. Meaning high scores. Also, extra curricular activities and very good recommendations are always great as well before in some cases, schools will look at these things moreso than an SAT score. Did you write an essay? Explain why you would want to go to Howard, Clark and the other school you mentioned and tell them (no begging to desparity) but sell yourself. There are thousands of applicants before you that possibly have the requirements that they seek but again, you must sell yourself to jump in front of those in the same shoes as you. I know. I will say that I had a good GPA, low SAT/ACTs, plenty of extracurricular and refs but I didn't get into Fall but Summer at one school and Fall with the other. So, if you don't get in, try for a different term where the requirements are lower like me. Good luck and I hope this helps.

They'd much rather see a C- in an AP course as opposed to a C- in a regular course. I had a C in two of my AP courses from Junior year and I was accepted to Howard earlier this year.
