I know I still have 2 more years of high school to go before college, but I saw a thread like this in the forums today, coupled with the feedback the poster got and it made me wonder:
Basically, I want to apply to
Hampton,
FAMU, and
NC A&T.
As of now I have a 3.7 Cummulative GPA (with most all honors and/or AP courses).
Im a part of the National Honor Society, I am a South Carolina Junior Scholar and a part of the Duke University TIProgram, President of GS Tropp, Unarmed OIC (Commander) SC-933 Drill Team, and I play Track, Volleyball, and Tennis.
Besides that I volunteer for TeenLine and Charleston County Parks and Recreation year-round, plus GS does a lot of community service.
I'm also starting the IB program next year.
So if I kept up how I'm doing (adding a few more extracirriculars and hopefully raising my GPA) for the next 2 years, what do you think is the likelihood that I get accepted into any of those schools I listed?
(I'm also taking the SAT this year. I took the SAT in 7th grade through the Duke TIProgram and got a 900 ((old scale)) and the PSAT in 8th through SC Junior Scholars, and didnt do bad on that either, so I'm not to worried about my scores.)
