Uppity Negro...
I've noticed that this is the latest "fashion" trend at HU. I know that perspective freshmen have prolly never heard of it before, but how do the current Howardites feel about it? I know its just clothes, but do you feel it sends a positive messege?
I'll post my opinions later...

I mean, back in the day, if you think about it, white folks did consider an "uppity" negro to be a black man or woman to think or act for themselves. This is like saying "yes, I am uppity. Now what!?!?" I love fashion, and I love to make a statement with my fashion. Yes, I rock my Malcolm X shirt with him holding a machine gun, and I always wear my shirt wit Huey and Fred standing tall. And you know I had to cop that Angela Davis shirt. I do understand though how some people just wear it without knowing the meaning or the true purpose of the person they are wearing. I don't really appreciate that. I will continue to make statements with my clothes, and don't get mad if you see me in the HU wit something crazy written or air-brushed on my trucker hat or wife-****. That's just how I do it! Since people can't read my mind, I let my clothes do the talking. .....my fashion is trendy, yet revolutionary at the same time
