I just got to put this one out there.... Do you believe in Marriage Yes or No... and why or why not. I just got to say that i don't because of the simple fact that i don't think that i have to prove to anyone that i love my "soulmate"... i think it's a wate of time and money.... i think that if you love someone, you can live together forever just like you were married... just without the whole wedding costing you a fortune... that's just me but halla back with what you think about marriage

I completely disagree with you. First I was raised that you dont live with someone unless yall are married. Personally, I just think that having a live in boyfriend and some kids isnt the most respectable thing and what kind of example is that for your kids. But thats just how I feel. And you say its a waste of money to get married but you can easily go to Justice of the Peace and and get married at court and that costs like nothing. I would know cause my parents did it. My mom didnt wanna waste her money on a wedding which is fine, but she wasnt gonna live with no man and he not be her husband. I want a husband and then a child....I dont want no live in boyfriend and he be my babby daddy....HELL NO. I personnally want a huge wedding cause thats just my own personal preference, but I undersatnd that some people feel its not worth the money which is cool. But I just think its a cop out to say that you dont wanna get married cause of the cost when u can easily get it done for free at the Court. If you just want a live in boyfriend then say that, but to say cause it costs too much is just Bullsh*t to me.

I think marriage is a beautiful thing. I wouldn't want to just live together and act as if me and my significent other were actually married; because, that would be living in sin, unless the relationship is platonic.

marriage is beautiful.....a spiritual, emotional, physical, personal covenant you make with your special friend and Jah. If you're gonna get an apartment and give up some yonie, u might as well get it legit and gon' head get married. Marriage offers a stability that the live-in lover arrangement doesn't. The way i see it, if u live wit someone for fiftyleven years & don't get married, it seems like u wanna b like, i can leave whenever i want to.... ..."I don't see no rings on these fingers/so i'm not gonna deal wit' your drama.............See we been shakin' up/since '93/I ain't gettin no younger/i need some guarentees.... that ain't gon' be ME singin that song, Syleena Johnson! IF yall been shakin 4 ten years, y ain't yall married? & i want a big family, & can't see myself wit a bunch of kids & no glimmer on the 4th finger of my left hand....

^^^^^^^^^^Girl, I couldn't have said it better myself. Shackin' up is wrong and there is no TRUE commitment in that situation, cuz' someone could easily say, "We're not Married," "You're not my husband/wife." Also, what kind of example would that be??? Not a good one, I'll say that much.........

it's not only about the money... it's about time also... and the point... i just don't see the point of marriage or why bother to waste time with it... but if i believed in marriage (most of my beliefs i feel stongly about) then why go the cheap way... i'm not cheap about anything else that i believe in... so i'm not saying that it's only about the money... i just don't see the point and i probably never will... that's just how i feel about the whole thing... and if someone wants to bag on me about how i wanna have a "live in Boyfriend" that's fine... that's just how i choose to live my life. if you can tell me the point or anyone else on here can tell me the point (something i just don't see) please fill me in on the big lost :? :|

you see situations with people about adultry and they're married... so whats a ring going to do? ... fashion... to brag to other people that you have someone and fool yourself that your other-half is "legit"... to that i would say love is about trust... and if you don't love your other-half (married or not)... there is no trust... so therefore what would you be with that person for :?: ... if you think that a ring is going to stop you other-half from doing someone else... well... what can i say  ... if your other-half want to fool around with someone else (married or not) they are going to do it...
