Why am I single? UPDATE: not single anymore

UPDATE: So I'm not exactly single anymore...so there's no need to further reply to this post. Thanks to all that posted their thoughts though. Ok so someone asked the ladies why we were single....i thought "great question." I wanna know too. Why am I single? If a girl knows what she wants and let's u know this from the beginning....y do u run when u claim to want a challenge? Sure I've been told that my standards are high and I expect a lot out of a guy, but shouldn't you all have high standards and expect ONLY the cream of the crop too??? I've been told that I'm pretty, beautiful, and all that stuff...smart, sweet, yadda yadda yadda....often opinionated and headstrong, but aren't all of those good qualities to have?! So why can't I seem to find a guy (a black guy) who has complimenting qualities????? What do you think?! :roll:

TOO NEEDY? :evil: Because I need a man who can dress himself in a presentable manner, speak CORRECT english, and actually has some sort of life goal...I'm needy??? :roll: Because I don't want the games nor the drama....I'm too needy?? Because I can DO FOR MYSELF...I'm needy? Because I know what I want and what I want is definitely the cream of the crop, i'm needy? Or do u think I'm needy b/c my momma taught me to NEVER ask a man for anything, always carry enough money to pay my own way (just in case) and never accept anything less that the best....i'm needy? Well, I don't know you at all, and just from readin the things you've said in this post, I still don't know you much. Saying this, there are many things you may not realize about yourself to why you are single. For one, I know you speak as if you aren't demanding at all, but so do many females that I know of. And the truth is, when it comes to dudes talkin to them, they are a lot pickier than they may realize. I don't know how tall you are, but you look kinda tall in your picture. With me, I am only 5'3, and if you were anything taller than me, I definitely wouldn't even try to holla because 90% of females taller will look and be like "hell nah!" So that there may eliminate a group of potential dudes who would get at you. Then, maybe you give off that "single and frustrated" vibe that I get from many females. Dudes don't like bein around negative females, and from readin what you said, you just may possibly give this vibe off even though you don't realize it. Me personally, I am turned off when girls just have a negative attitude about anything, and sometimes a female may not have to say anything but she'll still give off a bad vibe. So I don't know if you fit the description of anything I listed, but that's just how I see it. All the talk about dudes not wantin a challenge and wantin an easy girl is only true with certain dudes.

you asked lol, i said maybe but i didnt mean the type of man, i meant that maybe you had the mindset that you NEED someone else to make you complete, but it cant be like that, you cant be half a person and look for another half, you have to be a whole person and look for another whole, not saying that you are not a whole person or whatever, i dont know you, im just saying that possibly you got the wrong mindset, and that maybe that is your "problem"

some guys like the chase. some guys dont. put it like this. you are a gorgeous girl and a lot of guys would be scared by that. they dont want to have to wonder if they gonna be able to have you tomorrow or are you gonna up and disappear with the next good thang that swings by. now nice guys like myself, ekow, dman, king and rod would take on that challenge with no problems, no regrets. as long as you do us right you would be respected ya feel me. then you got the guys who basically want to keep you a secret either because they are affected easily by what other people think or just dont like people in their business. now a lady like your self aint gonna go for that cause you want the world to know. just so the world dont have no excuse and be approachin your man and using the excuse that they never knew you too were into each other in that way. the game of love is more than early bird gets the worm. cause the early bird has to be on point. the early bird cant wake up with cole in its eye and expect to eat. so if you are single now that is because you truly aint meet the right man yet who is bold enough to take you as you are. bottom line.

intimidation...thats the word... i know im not a guy...but hey...i can still answer.... girl you are a very head strong independent woman...you make it obvious that you got your mind set on a specific and particular type of guy...and the fact that that is the personality you give off...a lot of guys are most like scared of you... but there is definately nothing wrong with knowing what you want... but there is somebody out there who can handle that...trust :wink: good luck

damn im being a post **** but y'all got some good topics jumpin out over here. OKay off the top im pretty sure everybody said what im about to say if not then wow...i hadn't read the thread sooooooooooooo here goes. one, it's not really that you are head strong, un approachable/pretty beautiful blah blah. sorry, but in my experience, you're looking for a man who is stronger than your because you have some self-doubt issues. sh*t runs really deep. you need someone to lean on. it's like that thing about "Nice Guys finish last" when in reality those girls that be whinin cryin about those mean dudes...they dont have spines they latch onto the strongest pillar they can find. to hold them up. not discounting your intelligence or will power or strength, butwhat im saying it...try not to look for someone who's better than you, try to look for someone who you feel can help you places and you feel you can help him in places. it's gotta be a two way street, it's not only one way and right now, you are thinking one way where, you think all your sh*t is gravey so you want top notch so that he can be up there with you...it's not, you got some flaws booboo, and you shouldn't look for a near-flawless mate because your flaws will show up outstandingly well if you do. but then again, no bodies perfect as someone said before. and that probably explains why you're by yourself Sad

your standards are probably too high even for you. not tryinna be an ****, just tryin to be as real as real can get Now, im by myself because i WAS soft spoken and never really was assertive for mine. but now that im out for mine, i have found plenty of women that i would like to date and some that really dig me too...but somethings missing... My only standard is the woman be understanding of my, what you could call, obsession for cars. Cars have been in my life before you and will be after you (if there is an After You) and someone who would be able to have an intelligent conversation with me about cars is in sin in Las Vegas. I dont have a real physical standard (just not super round) and not super skinny and hieght makes NO difference to me...i'lve liked girls 4'11 -6'5
