What should this couple do?

I listened to this discussion on the radio this morning, and it's about this married couple who's having marital problems. The wife says that they should consult the pastor for spiritual guidance, but the husband says they should work things out between themselves. So, do you agree with the husband, or do you agree with the wife? What is your opinion on this?

This is a good question... I think they should talk amongst each other and try to come to some sort of agreement or compromise. If no solution comes out of that, I think they should both see their pasto for spiritual counseling. And if they really dont want their pastor or anyone in the church to know whats going on between them, they can always see a Chrstian counselor. they may be able to give the same help and advice as their pastor, while keeping their business between themselves. If I were in that situation, I would go to a Chrstian counselor, b4 I went to my pastor.
I agree...There has to be some type of communication going on.And then if things still dont work seek help.I'd prefer to go to my pastor though. Why not talk to someone you know??

In this particular case, we have only been given two outcomes in the minds of the participants: Either go see the pastor or work it out among themselves. Classically, since compromise means to settle by giving concessions; there is no way they can do either and make the other happy. Therefore they should examine a third option, like I said earlier, a marriage counselor or a Christian counselor. And my statement about their problems was sarcasm, influenced by the joke in the previous statement.

I personally believe in taking everything to God, so I would advise that they did the whole spiritual guidance thing, but only if they both believe in the goal they are working for. If only the wife wants to make things better then I don't think it will work. The husband has to be willing also.
