(I really shouldn't be surprised)
~The nasty bathrooms
~Sharing of the room phone
~Stealing "bka" I just borrowed your soap, deodorant, socks...etc
~ When you wanna study he/she wants to party
~ Or you get one of those roommates that comes to school with 4 things a blanket, a cell phone and 1 pair of shoes, couple outfits...forgot all their personals, school supplies, television, etc...but always wants to borrow your things.
LET BE START BY SAYING THAT PEOPLE IN COLLEGE ARE NO DIFFERENT FROM THOSE IN WHICH YOU ENCOUNTERED IN HIGH SCHOOL. PEOPLE ARE SO IMMATURE AND SOMETIMES THEY WONT RESPECT YOUR AREA AS FAR AS BANGING ON THE DOORS AND PLAYING LOUD MUSIC. AS FAR AS ROOMATES...MY ROOMATE WAS BASICALLY MY BEST FRIEND BEFORE WE GOT THERE AND NOW WE DONT EVEN TALK. ITS GOOD TO KNOW PEOPLE AND STAY WITH THEM, BUT IN SOME SITUATIONS, IT MAY BE HARD TO MAINTAIN A DECENT RELATIONSHIP.
You guys make me nervous about living in a dorm. But don't you get to meet people through living on campus. And if anyone knows, how is it at Hampton or Spelman?
from what i here the females r worse than the guys so imagine how it is at spelman

Dorm life isn't that bad at Spelman. We have quiet hours at night (24 hour quiet hours during reading period and finals), which are enforced with citations and minor fines depending on if you have a strict RA. That may seem a lil strict but you'll appreciate it when you get tired of hearin people's loud music and screamin in the halls all day. The dorms stay pretty clean, atleast mine does. The halls and the bathrooms are cleaned everyday. Thas not to say that you won't end up with a messy roommate, like i had the pleasure :? of ending up with. So overall it's really not all that bad living in a dorm at Spelman.
