I was doing some research on AKA's, and I noticed something about "re-activation fees" which leads me to believe that if you don't pay some kinda dues, you're out....but then if u want back in you gotta pay. Maybe I got it twisted...
Do you have to pay dues in the frat/soro you're in, and is this like, a normal thing , or just AKA's?

Obviously if I were in college, where greek life is very common, I would know. But I asked the question about college life because I'm not living college. To the person that made the very rude reply that I quoted...You make it seem like I'm automatically supposed to know this Sh*t. Am I a member of any sorority?? Am I in college?? No. So, before you go off making your lil smart **** remakrs about how I'm making myself look "Jessica Simpsonesqe" maybe you should have thought that I honestly just did not know the answer. I never mentioned that all the money for organizations were generated thru fund raisers, or step shows...so stop making assumptions...because you're making an **** of yourself. and for the record...I asked the question because on the AKA site they mentioned dues, ond on the Delta's site, they didn't. So I didn't know if dues were common practice or not. Have a good dayTrauma_Unit14 wrote:I understand that they internet is a great way to get (sometimes dumb) questions answered anonymously. I'm not calling your question dumb, but I do think tha it was not well thought out. How do you think the business side of the soroty is run? You can only throw so many parties and have so many fund raisers in order to effectively run an organization, and that's at the chapter level. At the international level, there has to be another way to raise funds. Do you think the basileus and her crew has time, energy, or even the talent to go around the country competing in step shows for money? Think deeper, chile. Quit catching half thoughts in your brain and running to the message boards with these half-thought-out questions. Yu are making yourself look extrememly Jessica Simpsonesque.
