Rod, it does get easier to deal with over time. I lost my best friend a few years ago to cancer. RIP, Kevin.

That's how it is. I remember when one of my band mates died last year. It was hard to believe til everybody from the band when to his house and we saw his mother. She had bought food for us. She wanted to see us all before the service so she invited us to her home as sort of a gathering for us as a band to pay respects to his family. We were all outside eating chicken and talking and then she came outside. She was walking down the stairs with this look on her face like her son should've been there with us. And that's when it came to all of us. Someone may be sitting in his seat in our band room, but no one will ever fill that seat like my friend did. Ever. Every marching step a Sentinel takes, every note a Sentinel may play, will be for our fallen soldier. And I think that's how you should look at your friend, Kevin. It may be hard to believe that Kevin isn't going to be there to do the things for you that he used to. But no one will ever take Kevin's place in your heart or your memories. And let that be his legacy.

Hey yo, what up Rod & Blackzilla (sp?)? I know we aint really talked or whatever on the site, but it's always sad to hear of another young person taken down for whatever reasons. I know exactly what yall are going through man, I have had friends in the past die on me. One dude, who was my best friend in middle school, moved when we got to high school. I called him a few weeks after he moved, it turns out he was murdered because of a drug beef and mistaken identity. This is a crazy, fukked up world man. I have had other friends die from diseases, accidents, and bullets. It never gets any easier, just harder. Plus, I got friends in jail, so it's like they are **** in there ya know. But the one thing I can tell yall is that man, whatever you do, don't let your emotions get built up inside of you, you gotta talk to people about it. And with situations like this, always take it as a life lesson, examine yourself, and see if it is things about you that you should change. And most importantly man, just pray every night that you can get through this situation with your saneness in tack and a new outlook on life. I hope yall boys make it through this man. Keep your head up, do what you gotta do in life, and then inside you...that person is gonna be reborn. ***Plays "Life Goes On" by Tupac***
