Whats The Biggest Difference Between Ur Hometown And Schools Location? Like the difference in the way they talk, dress, act, etc. I am especially curious of those that come from the East Coast (Philly, New York, Jersey,B-More ,etc.) and go to school in the South (especially Va. my new home next year!) I just want to know if anyone has changed thier appearance or attitude to adjust to thier current settings or do you rock the same clothes, hairstyle/haircut, and attitude u had back at home.

I go to school in VA. Everybody is in chill mode all of the time. People talk slower, walk slower, etc. The stores close earlier than where I am from. The bus system sux.....I wouldn't count on it for anything. Plus it gets boring here sometimes. People are a lot nicer here though.....they say "hi" even when they don't know you. When I am at home, things go at a quicker pace. You can always find something open at anytime. If I can't drive, the bus and train are my best friends. There's always something to do and somewhere to go....even if I don't want to go. The people aren't necessarily rude, but usually people don't speak if they don't know you (which to me is normal). But, I like Hampton regardless....I just couldn't live here!!!

I'm two hours away from home. I'm from the city. Prairie View is the country. Once I decided to go here, I didn't think I was gonna survive staying out here. But you meet alot of different people and they can be so nice. Everybody looks out for everybody. In the city, people are only worried about doing what they got to do to get what they want. The setting out here is so comforting to know that someone is always looking out for you.

WELL I'M FROM DETROIT, MI AND I GO TO SCHOOL IN ATLANTA. BESIDES THEIR ACCENT, THERE ISN'T REALLY A BIG DIFFERENCE. ITS JUST BIGGER.

Charlotte vs going to school in G-boro. The two are only an hour and some change apart. But I noticed the difference in home and here. Here it's smaller, charlotte goes on for DAYZ...g-boro is over if u ride to far down on street. Then it's calmer here which is strange being this is a college town. Stuff closes MADD early unless u wanna go to a club..AGAIN...

Asheville NC- Slow Place for people to visit Place to start a family Not a place for young black people Mad Cold in winter Nice people U might know somebody if u where walking the streets pop. almost 100,000 Charlotte NC- Larger City Place to Start a Business Up-and-Coming Place to get a good job Night Life is the Sh*t Dress is the Same- However most of my school is filled with out of state students so everybody has their own thing going. All different kinds of people at my school, DC, VA, NY, GA, NC, SC, CA. Its one big melting pot.
