The Morehouse Mindset - inherent or learned?

I've heard from many people that the men at Morehouse are arrogant, or even elitist. Do the faculty ingrain that in the students, or are the majority of their students arrogant to begin with?

actaully as a former morehouse dude i can tell you that this mindset surely does exist...not just among the freshmen...and i've seen some folk who graduated from this school like way way in the long ago have this same mindset. but i won't go into detail about it because i'm better than you.

this statement does not consist of the word "SOME" therefore it's a generalization...therefore, it's bullshit...

As a freshman at spelman, i would have to say that saying the 'arrogance' from men of morehouse is learned, is like saying all spelman girls are stuck up. Its a generalization. I would def have to say that i think that its more immaturity mixed with excitement of going to such a prestigious school. B/c it seems that the upperclassment are confident, but not arrogant. and the freshman seem just to hype for their own good. but thats just what i see.
hmmm :?

When you go to morehouse, you are immediately met by catchy slogans and sayings that tell how you are the best of the best and should be proud. To say that Morehouse men are arrogant, is a hasty generalization. Think of it this way, a bunch of people apply to a bunch of different schools, the people get into a bunch of different schools, and then decide on one. If i apply to Howard, Morehouse, Harvard, Columbia and I get into all of them, if I go to Howard because it saves me money does that make me any less intelligent? If I decide to go to Harvard does that automatically make me smarter? If I go to Morehouse, and then I transfer somewhere else because I cant afford it, does that have any relation to how smart I am? To say that all Morehouse men are arrogant is to watch an episode of Jerry Springer and then think that all women are really men in disguise. Different people, different backgrounds, different places, one school.
