I wonder what the Dean of the school would say IF the news media knew what African Americans go through in order to receive an education at this fine, PWI. :twisted:

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I know what it's like to feel as though you have to justify yourself and your race. That was messed up that the other blacks didn't have your back, and the TEACHER didn't even say anything?! All I can tell you is to keep your head up.

Girl I feel where you're coming from and you handled yourself like the queen that you are! Don't let them make you "get outside yourself" and act like the monkey that they THINK you should. Last semester me, my homegirl and this other guy decided to take our MCAT prep course at a PWI here in New Orleans so we were the only black students in the class. Well it was this one group of students that used to take our seats and say stupid ish just to get at us but we never let em see us upset. I see it like this, never let someone know that their words have power over you and your emotions cuz if they do, they'll know just the right thing to say to hurt you and that, my friend, gives them too much control. Keep your head up little momma and remember He never puts more on you than you can bear. :wink:
