^^^Amen. I know this sounds cliche as heck, but i really couldn't tell ya what my "type" is. I could say "tall" guys or "dark skinned" guys, becuz those are the ones that i have a slight history with, but to be honest i'm attracted to a little bit of everything. There is no particular style of dress, complexion, height, weight, or feature that outweighs another. It mainly comes down to a connection. If u can stimulate my mind, feed my spirit, and enrich my heart, i could careless what category you fall under. I'll be hooked

I disagree. There are always essential preferences. Chemistry can happen at any moment or time, but that doesn't mean that that's the person for you. Its mean to discriminate on looks but sometimes its necessary. Preferences are shaped a lot by the media I'm kind of old fashioned but my preferences 1. Taller/ weighs more than me 2. short hair 3. no golds 4. not too many tatoos 5. not **** 6. cares about his body ( works out, no smoking etc) non physical 1. Ambitious--In school 2. Smart 3. Somewhat spiritual 4. Manly My man has to look as good as I do.

The sad part is that a persons preference can get in the way of them finding someone. If all your focus is on the physical then that doesnt leave much room for you to learn anything else about people.

I think to alot of that just has to do with what attracts your eye. And then some people take that and consider it to be what they prefer because that is what appeals to them the most. like i could be attracted, physically to a lighted skin guy. Now i'm going around talking about, "well, i perfer my man to be light skinned tall, nice clothes...." basically all the things i see or saw in guys that caught my attention. It doesn't have to be one type of guy though. But for me, i'm mostly attracted physically to lighted skinned guys, but i'm also attrcted to other types as well. that's just my opinion.

My cousin and I were discussing a similar topic this morning. . . . Do you ladies and gentlemen think our "preferences" are influenced by primal instinct? Among many older women, I've noticed that their attraction to a guy is based on the type of offspring that he might produce. Among younger women, I haven't noticed it as much, but I think it may be more subconscious; thus you have extremely short (under 5 feet) women who will do whatever to try attract taller men (over 6 feet); or as I've heard hundreds of times, women being attracted to a guy due to his grade of hair. It works both ways, as many men go ga-ga over the hourglass figure, seeing as wider hips are "supposedly" better for breeding. As for me, the only physical preference I have is for darker-skinned women. Other than that, it's her grace, style and demeanor that attracts me.
