Have you had any friendships ruined because of Greek issues?

Is there anyone who has either lost a friendship, or ended up havin a conflict with a friend of theirs, somehow relating to Greek life? I see it happen a lot at FAMU, and it usually happens in the "interest" stage. If you don't wanna speak about your personal problems or experiences, do you know anybody who had problems because of this?

Wish i could. But for the most part the girls that i know personally........like i said before, crazy. And im speaking coming off of my freshman year.......so i can only imagine how much worse things are going to get once the new semester starts. So many people are over confident because they think they "look like" they should belong to the organization. Im like uhhh we go to Spelman.....5 out of 10 girls looks the same. So what does that say. I promise you ive actually heard girls say...."well i look like a little xyz so i mean.....". And one big thing that ive noticed is that people get too comfortable WAY too quick. Like just because ur my roomates friend doesnt mean me and you are best friends....so why are u telling me what you want to do? And then want to get upset because i dont do the same, this is not the sharing hour and you dont need to know all of my business. Me and one of my good friends were just talking about this the other night, and how peoples true colors are going to come out in full force next semester.

Well I have two friends that became members of two different org this past year. With them, their friendship did not change with each other because of a difference in interest, if anything they have become even closer. They both alot have respect for each other. The relationships they have with the rest of their friends has not changed either. We are all tight. Where one person goes, you will find at least one other perosn from our lil crew. Me being involved with student government stuff, I went to an event that our class was having. It was a panel discussion, and it dealt with all the topics that come up daily in college. Of course one of the topics was about Greek Life. There was a guest speaker, and she said something that made me think. Most of the audience was non-greek, so most people were saying that friends of theirs have changed after they gained their letters. The speaker commented on this topic. She said "Most of the time relationships go bad becuse the people around the Greeks change." She was basically saying that the non-greeks don't know how to fully handle that fact that their friends have other obligations. That was one of the main reasons why my friends and I are still able to hang out. We (the non-greeks) know that our frirnds have other oblgations, and I know that no matter what they will always be thier crazy selves and be there when I need them. Therefore we have no problems with issues of Greek Life. If anything it has more to do with boyfriends. Ok I wrote enough now.
