Just that it is really dirty, ghetto, and just not that great of a school. My guidance counselor actually told me most of that stuff. So i just wanted other peoples perspectives.
The campus really isn't that dirty, but now it looks a mess because of construction. It is not that ghetto either. Because I have seen worse, I wouldn't call it ghetto. There are some people here that make you wonder why in the hell are they in college, but the president of the school is doing things to change that. I don't agree with the not a great school thing either. People come in and get a false perception of the school. If someone does not currently attend the school how are they going to give you an accurate assement of the school. I am in the science and technology department, so that is the only school I can speak for, and it is good department. There are good students and teachers. People just look at the enviornment and some of the people and prejudge the situation. As far as the question of what school to go to, it goes back to the same old thing of what do you want your major to be

I got a 1300 on my SAT's and graduated with a 3.9. I went to Lincoln Univ of Pennsylvania. The School ****. What happened was...my advisor was trying to get me to be a Physics major and I told him that I did not want to be a physics major. He tried to show me the amount of money they make, and I still said no. Anyhow, he put me in Calc II, which I had had Calc I in high school. I wanted to get like algebra because I got a B in Calc in high school and I had to maintain a 3.5 for the scholarship i had to Lincoln (tuition, room, and board). Well, I got a D in a four credit course and then I got 3 B - grades for 3 credit courses (Lincoln's B- = 2.7) and now, Im down to like a 3.1....where can I go (HBCU) that would give me at least full tuition again? My parents said they're not paying and that I would have to go to community. What should I do? I dont get financial aid because of how much they make.

UMM, You should have tried Alabama State. I have a 3.4 Act of 26 and Sat of 1190 and they gave me a presdiential schlorship and stipend! Always other schools you should try are FAMU, Southern, AAMU. I don't know if its too late though.
