I was just wondering which HBCUs are known to have the highest academic standards and best reputation for excellence? I did a little research on it before, but the only schools I can still remember are...
Howard
Morehouse
Clark
Spelman
FAMU
Hampton
Dillard
Stillman
Xavier
Tuskegee
I know there were at least one or two more on my original list, but can't remember what they were. Any glaring omissions?
Also, what academic area are these schools best known for? For example, I know FAMU has an excellent reputation for business.
Finally, what are the top 2 or 3 HBCUs to attend for an education degree?
I know that's a lot of info to ask for, but I have 3 or 4 friends considering attending HBCUs that are asking me for advice, and I don't know enough to tell them. Thanks in advance for any help.

AggieHighlander, Tuskegee has an Animal Science/Pre Vet program also.
Awwww, hell... that little rat **** told me that A&T was the only black school with one when I signed on. I don't feel so special no more... I got half a mind to kick his ****...

Aaron, your research is a little tainted, Hampton doesn't have a law school...I believe we have pre-law, but most people I know who want to be lawyers either major in history or political science.
We are known as the "Harvard of the South" with many highlight programs.
