HOWARD-They say it's a fashion show fa real, but I've never been there. My friend will graduate from there this year and loves it! It costs alot but u get a quality education HAMPTON-This was my first choice school until I kept messing up on the essay and missed the deadline...people say that Hampton peeps are stuck up...only SOME are, just like every other school. This school does seem to be more middle class-upper class than most other HBCUs but it's a pretty cool school. the other schools, I haven't really heard too much about them...BUT I'M SO GLAD I'M GOIN TO TSU

WEll.. Well... WEll.. First and foremost don't take anything i say offensively but i feel very passionate about what i'm about to say. FAMU: Heard: It's a nice school, People there are friendly and has alot of school spirit. The Band is Cold as Hail! Seen: Can't really say i've seen any different. Of course i've only visited like once so... can't really confirm anything. PVAMU: Now let set it off on this 1 cause i would've went there but my fam is from PV so i've been there all the time so i'd say i kno all about PV. Heard: From people who want to attend and who attend: Party school, Conceited to an extent just because they are apart of the"A&M" system they feel they have more intelligence then TSU students and other smaller or less popular schools. True they do amoungst one the top nursing fields and engineering departments in TX. SEEN & KNOWN: They are an HBCU BUT they are partically owned and funded by a white owned system! You do not have to be "SMART" or at the "TOP" of your class to be excepted. into the university. Maybe for the nursing field u do but for the university you don't. They just don't advertise like that but it's bascially open admission. Also they have pregnant track members and their freshman average of dropouts after the first year is 63%. or at least it was in 2000! They recently just upgraded and fixed up the campus so NOW it looks nice. Their parties are hype and the band is one of the best n my opinion but nothing makes them better than any other school in recieving an education! :x  MY SKOOL N PROUD OF IT 8) TExas SOuthern Heard: That it's located in the ghetto, it's open admission, the quality of the school is mediocre, and it's pregnant people everywhere u turn, the buildings are old and ragedy, and all around negative things. SEEN N KNOW: Yes it's true it's open admission, yes it's true that it's located in the "ghetto", yes it's true that some of the buildings are old but their renovating. The band is pretty good(They appeared on the halftime show in the Super Bowl). They have the most helpful professors and staff. They have alot of programs geared towards freshmen n helping maintain grades. Major hooks up with internships. And the fact that they are open admission helps them to offer help to everyone. The PARTIES r on point fa sho  and they are located in the krunkest cities n tx. LESSON: Don't consider open admission schools as being less of a challenge or based on their location. Because unless you got into Dillard, Xavier, Oxford, Yale, Princeton or some other private school or ivy league college it all comes down to graduation and obtainin' that degree. Remember that next time u puttin down a university! At one time i thought the same way but now i kno better!
I ain't got nothin against Texas Southern cuz thats where i wanted to go from tha get go but my aunt is a professor at PV so i said i'll just go there. Now Texas Southern is real good on tha interships but on tha BET message boards thats a Thread I got from there just to see what would happend on here, but i really haven't chose a school only because i wanna think about it but Texas Southern was a first choice i jyst don't know how their nursing program is.....But thanks cuz i wasn't worried bout tha critisim on this thread

Don't get it twisted i wasn't aiming all of that on you i was saying in general that a lot of people look down on TSU especially PVAMU students. I have family members that go to, have graduated, and work at PV so i just was making sure u didn't think like the majority of ppl think about TSU. No disrespect intended!
