If you want to go a step further and be a doctor, Xavier Univ. of Louisiana has the best Pre-Med program in the country! Check it out @ www.xupremed.com

If You are looking at anything in the carolinas I would suggest Winston-Salem State I'm a nursing major and we are tied for #2 in the State with UNC Chapel Hill( the National Champs b-ball), And East Carolina is #1, but tgose are both PWI"S Winston and NCCU are your best bet, I wish you well, see if the school you are interested in is accredited PLEASE and check out the passing rate on the NCLEX. School Affiliated with hospitals are also a good starter. Good Luck

Xavier doesn't have a nursing program. Southern University has a real good nursing program, rated second in the country (if I'm remembering correctly).
