I moved home to Fayetteville, for two years, and ran screaming back to Durham. I love it here. . . I have a good group of friends, I am in the "in-crowd", so I get invited to every social event. Cost of living is relatively cheap, and the apartments are big. Twenty minutes to everywhere in town, and twenty to Raleigh. DC is four hours, ATL is five, Charlotte is 2.5, Carolina Beach is 2.5 hours, Myrtle is three, the mountains are four. I may make a move next year, but that's only for a fresh start. . .I'm looking at Tampa, Houston, Atlanta or Northern Virginia, depending on the salaries and job markets.

I would not move back to my college cities, unless I really, really have to. Huntsville seems like a nice place, and I've grown into liking it to a certain extent, and I never thought I would actually say that either. Anyway, I know that there are numerous jobs that are related to my field, but I would still want to live elsewhere. The Lafayette / West Lafayette area is a place where I would definitely not want to end up living in. It is strictly a college town where pretty much everything centers around the campus, which is not necessarily a bad thing. But it's in the middle of the cornfields of Indiana with almost nothing exciting to do, for God sakes! I can't wait to graduate, so I can get out of this area.
