Do any of you knows what you're expected to pay(tuition, room and board) to be financially cleared? How have you guys paid for these expenses? how have you paid for it if you're on financial aid?

You don't need $10,000 in incidental money. Off campus housing runs around the same as living on campus. Seriously. There isn't a difference. Many upperclassmen rent a 3 or 4 bedroom house for about $2000 a month, that works out to be $500 a month, $5000 for 10 months, which is the same for living on campus in a upper classmen dorm. They offer a large amount like $28,000 in the loan offer (which is where I assume the estimation come from) because want you to owe them as much as possible.

I was giving the estimation that was available to me on Bison Web. Yes that is a estimation included things such as transportation, etc. I didnt mean to mislead anyone. As I said I recieved it from under the financial aid area of Bison Web. Sorry again

Lol, its no problem hon. From one Bison to another, Howard will lead you astray sometimes when it comes to financial matters. The bookstore will overcharge you, what you pay for meals isn't worth it, and some of the fees are illogical (student self-help fee? come on HU). If you are from a major northern city such as NY, Detroit, Chicago, you will find DC to be relatively cheap. Additionally, you really won't be spending too much time off campus because HU is where its at. Its possible to go weeks without leaving HU terroritory (which extend to clubs which are filled with HU students and everything on Georgia Ave.) If you ever need any guidance or are unsure about anything, feel free to ask an upperclassman who has already been there, done that and jumped through all the hoops. Sincerely
