I am considering Howard for my Master's in Communications, but I am also looking at Temple and Seton Hall.

I'm either going to get my master's in forensic science or pharmacy...probably both but I know I will probably go to a PWI because I know that working in either one of those fields I will be one of the few black women there and I want to be able to interact well with other races since I've been in black schools my entire life.

I'mma do the HBCU thing for Grad School for Communications or Mass Communications, I like my PWU but I need some more black folks around me and more black teachers. Hopefully Clark ATL if not Albany State or Jackson State, perhaps Famu(but that depends on some things)...I could into Howard but thats too close to NY for me even the Communications school is awesome according to my friend. This is my last year in NY so I got some time to figure it out but I want to go to ATL.

Hershee33d...I am definitely feeling you right now. I just graduated from Virginia Tech (...you know...football...Hokies...Micheal Vick...) and moving from my PWI in the mountains to big Howard University! To be truthful, I'm scared to death. I selected an HBCU because with my major (Psychology in undergrad and Social Work at HU), I wanted to be with the people that I wanted to work with. How am I going to work with underpriv. African American families sitting in the mountains? One of the things that I constantly think of that helps me through my fear is knowing that in the end (after my Masters and Doctorate degree), all this work isnt for me, but for a family in need. (Yeah I know I'm mushy!) -If anyone else out there is going to Howard for grad school or is in the social work program...please...HOLLA AT ME!!!! I need all the help I can get!
