I hate having to choose cuz I love 'em all... I picked Dr. Dre. The Neptunes are still hot and I used to love a new Swizz beat. Eminem and Scott Storch must hang around Aftermath Studios too much, cuz they both sound like fake Dre's to me. What about David Banner and Lil' Jon? F**k Darkchild, ain't nothing like a hot Michael Jackson/Teddy Riley beat! I'm gonna be the next DJ Timbo Fresh, ladies & gentlemen!

The Curse (which pretty much everyone agrees is the best side to one of Jay Z's best CDs ever)
Everyone I've heard from agrees that CD is one of his worse, but eh what do I know about rap anyway... :???:

the general public doesn't even know that he's really not doing anything to the beats but, they think he's actually being that creative himself.
true, true... that's what i said when he first got popular, but i was just tryin to **** off my friend who was all on Kanye's nuts. after that, i focused my wrath on the Heatmakers, cuz they're like a fake Kanye to me, the Kanye West of Kanye Wests... like everything you said was wrong with Kanye times 10! but seriously, that's what's wrong with music today. not enough new ideas. the #1 tactic to making a hit today is to steal someone else's hit. preferably a classic that us ignorant youngsters won't ever recognize. stealing a whole song can be hot, but i like clever uses of a smaller sample... like how "one mic" by nas is actually "in the air tonight" by phil collins... raise your hand if you knew that, cuz i feel like i'm the only one :-D

^^ lol engineering school is getting to ya man!, thats one piece of useless info i DID not know though
useless info is my specialty! i liked Missy's beats for a while, but it gets hard to tell when it's really her work. kinda like how I discredited Scott Storch: she sounds like a fake Timbaland most of the time. and just like Puffy and Clue, she's started yelling over beats that she had nothing to do with. rabbit, what do you mean "close"? how is that not absolutely right? that was a phil collins sample or "interpolation" if you prefer!

Like I said, I don't think she produced Tweet's or Monica's recent singles, even though she yelled throughout. I'm pretty sure Jazze Pha did "1, 2 Step", unless y'all are referring to another song. If I hear Missy & Ciara over one more electro sample... :x

You're right about that. How did I forget Jazze Pha did that beat... Lol. It prolly actually was cuz Missy yellin throughout the song. You're right... she is going str8 Diddy... except she's not putting herself on the CD as executive producer when she didn't do anything . You know what else you're right about. I saw what you said about One Mic so I listened to the Phil Collins song on Ares.... They did sample part of that beat. Whoever did the One Mic beat did a good job of making sure he just took certain instruments from the beat and created his own actual beat instead of just "Kanye'ing" the beat, otherwise just speeding the joint up. Lol.
