BET's 106 n Park news -May 6, 2003 I am sure you already have all the scoops since you are in the hub of all that goes on in the industry, according to our site, but this one is a bit amusing... Sources say 106th & Park Co-Host "Free" has finally completed her first album. Insiders say, it may never be released and I'm going to tell you why. Word is big wigs are having problems finding a market for this album. According to statistics, the average 106th & Park viewing audience age range is between 16 to 24 and problem is "Free" is already age 37, but seemingly passes for younger. Whoops! Good grief, it's a terrible thing to be an old maid and just releasing your first album. But then again, it's not like she's applying for social security up and through here. Rumor has it more heads are rolling at BET. Reportedly, 106th & Park Co-Host "AJ" is going to be axed from the show and replaced by rapper producer "D-Dot" (aka "The Madd Rapper") formerly of the Bad Boy Entertainment camp. But who knew? Anyone reading this that can help "AJ" circulates his resume; can temporarily reach him at BET.com.
**** . No wonder she was fukkin wit Jay Z old self. That's crazy. I heard her say she was in her 20s before. 39.....
Im not surprised by that at all. My uncles good friend is a lawyer for Mtv and Bet so he knows alotta industry people, and my uncle was talkin about how old Free is but how she tries to come off like she is 25. And I agree with Poody...the song is hot, but I was very shocked with Free's verse...actually more disapointed. What the hell was she thinkin??? For one she too old to be talking like that, and I honestly thought she had more class than that...It definitely made me look at her differently...and DID ANYONE SEE CHRIS ROCK ON 106 TONITE??? It was TOO funny how Free asked Chris about a statement he made awhile back sumthing to the effect of " He loves rap music but is tired of defending it. " SO Free is like, what was the last rap song you felt like you had to defend...and he's like that Wait Whisper song? " He's like what the hell is that anyway, talking about wait til you see my ... " Apparently Chris didnt know Free was on the remix and Free and AJs face was like ... :? . You can tell she didnt want him to keep going, cause you know how Chris Rock can get so she changed the subject REAL fast...but I thought that was too hilarious...

But of course nothing is wrong with Busta Rhymes saying it or any other man for that matter but when Free does it she has no class.

^^^^ pretty much. We EXPECT that from them. Hell I expected it from Missy...but not Free...I just looked at her in a different light then that, and thought she may have had more standards then that, but she CELARLY is just another female rapper trying to get on...so she will be as nasty as she needs to, to get there...and there is nothing classy about that. PERIOD.
