I know the ads pay for the site. But now you've added a lil box where the movie plays instantly once the page loads? Those of us using browsers that don't automatically block ads on every page have to hear it. Those of us at work now HAVE to hear it if we are in the Forums. On every page. Everytime I think of Infiniti I think of those annoying ads. Which does not endear me to buy a car. I love the site but hate the ads.

the site has to make money somehow... should there be a different way? yeah, i think so, but for now this is what we gotta deal with...
We deal with it because we expect it. What about the new users who don't know about the ads? They may be turned off cuz each time they come here the music starts playing and people start talking. There are a variety of different ways to make money. HBCUconnect has the numbers to make plenty of deals. I'm not sure what it takes to sell ads and ink the deals but I've got plenty of ideas. I use lots of sites for free without an abundance of pop ups or intrusive ads. Anytime a browser has to change their regular habits in order to use your site you are setting yourself up for problems.
