:nods head: ^^^As a female and keepin it real, theres some definite truth to that, which is why Im not a huge DC fan right now. I like their old stuff much better than this new stuff.

The Bills, Bills, Bills, song was a big controversy in high school but I think a lot of people were CONFUSED as to what the song was saying. They weren't saying that they wanted a man to pay their bills because they are golddiggers and freeloaders, they wanted the man to pay the bills for things he used or used up. The character singing the song was being used not the man. At first we started out real cool Taking me places I ain't never been But now you're getting comfortable Ain't doing those things you did no more You're slowly making me pay for things Your money should be handling And now you ask to use my car (car) Drive it all day and don't fill up the tank And you have the audacity To even come and step to me Ask to hold some money from me Until you get your check next week You triflin', good for nothing type of brother Silly me, why haven't I found another? A baller, when times get hard Need someone to help me out Instead of a scrub like you Who don't know what a man's about Now you've been maxing out my card (card) Gave me bad credit, buying gifts with my own name Haven't paid the first bill But you're steady heading to the mall Going on shopping sprees Perpetrating to your friends that you be ballin' And then you use my cell phone (phone) Calling whoever that you think at home And then when the bill comes All of a sudden you be acting dumb Don't know where none of these calls come from When your momma's on the bill more than once What's wrong with a woman wanting her man to help out with the bills?

Their commercial just like majority of mainstream musicians. Just tryn to make that money.
cosign. i dont think they write this music based on what they feel or what theyve been through. musicians dont do that anymore. they are going to write what they public wants to hear at that time.

and i think this is quite true, too...because like someone once said up here...if all of the music artists out today were actually living out everything they sang/rap about....they would either be in prison 4 life, lol...****...lonely as hell...and/or maybe even in a psych ward... but also wanted 2 agree with somethin' Mila said....i REALLY hate 2 say it, but....i think i was feelin' Destiny's Child a whole lot better when it was "Beyonce & 'nem"....i mean, not necessarily her being center-stage all the time, but her WRITING THEM LYRICS!! 'cause i don't know if they all write their own lyrics now or what (i heard they do), but Michelle be comin' up with some simple stuff for herself...& just al2gether, the songs don't be bumpin' the same way they used 2....."Soldier" was my last interest, lol...THAT was CLASSIC DC......i don't know about the rest of this stuff :???:

i think its funny how they dont try to incorporwte their individuals style into DC3. Michelle having a gospel album then talking bout oyu just might be the one tonight just don't mix. Now that's confusing They all have their own styles but you don't see it in their music which to me makes them seem fake thats why their individual sales were off. now beyonce takes takes control and you cann see that in her own album as well as DC's album But not all females are like that
