Don't you miss Freaknik? I ain't never been but I always planned on going. Tell me bout your Freaknik stories.

Aww. . Freaknik, the National Chickenhead Convention. You could drink and smoke weed out in the streets downtown as long as you didn't cause any trouble. In 1997, MTV was down there filming the experience and that's the year the "****" flipped that young ladies truck over, down the street from Club Kaya. Hustla, playa, **** types were everywhere and took Freaknik away from the college students. The next year, the Atlanta police started ruining it. They were calling themselves helping the flow of traffic, but they really were hindering everyone causing even worse traffic jams than when I went in 94. I think Black Bike Week and BCR were better than Freaknik.

Even though most of us weren't in college, if u lived in the city during the time u got a first hand experience of Freaknik. I thought the whole thing was crazy! They shut it down because it started getting out of control. Like the one year they looted all those stores in 5 Points and the incidences with girls wearing halfway nothing screaming **** and saying there were being harassed.
