Exactly. There is this whole stigma around slavery, nothing was worse than it. In a human perspective, I suppose you are right. It is the worst act of human **** ever. I'm not saying slavery and animal cruelty are on equal levels, but they hit the same basis. Persecution. The two are in their own levels, and shouldn't be compared because the only thing they share are the horrid levels of persecution. But life in general, all things are sacred and slavery is no worse than this. But that does NOT make it alright to compare.
