University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
They lead the nation in # of black faculty at a National Tier I University, and are ranked #5 among public universities. They have nearly 3000 black students. As a matter of fact, they get so many applications from black students, they rarely award minority scholarships on the graduate or undergraduate level.
Their black alumni include:
Michael Jordan, Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison, Marion Jones, Stuart Scott, and Lawrence Taylor among others.
