i HATE that ad how can i stop the ads from playing everytime i navigate through this site? it's ANNOYING i posted this in the right forum but the mods don't check their areas so i'm bringing it HERE

Well, nobody really is clicking on the banner ads in the cafe anyways, so we're going to upgrade to the latest phpbb and change the look and feel a little bit. As for alternatives, yep, just different advertisers, and we'll have a different type of ad on the cafe that does not mess up the user experience. The cafe was down for about 24 hours (hard drive failed). Sorry about that. Holla

I shall help pay for the site and click on EVERY SINGLE BANNER AD THERE IS. because i want you all to be damn sure that if there was an award for the most valuable HBCU connect person out there... ... ... it would be ME. ::clicks on the Timberland ad::

Sounds like a good contest... We're gonna start giving members points for doing things on the site, and then give away tshirts and stuff like that even a free cruise (www.hbcucruise.com). Thanks for the support! We'll get it together!

oh I don't really have any suggestions rather than active mods are needed there's like 6 mods in this room but only 2 are active removing the **** weight would be nice oh and also removing some current mods and placing new ones in would be nice ladyjag is a good candidate
