How Do u feel about highschool (wanna b greek) organizations

I decided to ask because I've come across alot of greeks who "frown" on them. The ones here act as if they are really going through the pledging process. I wanted to ask the real greeks there views on it. I've come across organizations sponsered by real greeks who even throw up that greek sign and of course i know thats wrong. Do you think thats why alot of greeks dislike them? Are you down for them or are u against them or were u even in one?

When it comes to things like Kappa league and Archonettes, i don't see anything wrong with that. Those are auxiliary groups that are sponsored by a specific Greek organization, so they kinda fall under the same umbrella. I don't think those particalar orgs are attempting to mimmick Greek life, if it is actual Greek people that are steering them to begin with. However, i think it's totally different tho when a highschool organization or step team is formulated and they want to use Greek letters to form their name, make up hand signs, and have lil line numbers and names.

Sure they "know" it isn't but I've seen quite a few that felt they had an "entitlement" to a D9 org based off of those high school affiliations. Again I'm speaking from knowing a few situations like this personally.. note I stated it set SOME up for heartbreak...

I was actually just in Fayetteville this past weekend for a step show and it turned out that there were a number of high school Greeks there because they were competing also. I saw everything from Alpha Sigma Chi to Omega Psi Rho and being that it was my first time seeing such a thing, it kinda caught me off guard...On top of that, they had line names and numbers to go with it all. I just think that some of these high school Greeks whose "organization" is modeled off of a Black Greek Letter Organization see that as easy entrance into the organzation that shadows them. I think that they need to learn that when you are in high school you're in high school...when you're in college, you're in college and the same rules don't always apply. It all just depends on the person and his/her mindset about the situation.
