I may be the most hated black person on this site after this comment, but what the hell
Black people are just as racist as any other race of people, racism is hatred. It goes behind prejudices.
Racism and I quote "a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race." (Merriam-Webster)
Now no where in that definition does it discuss using race as an advantage. Furthermore if you want to discuss using race as an advantage then let's discuss Black people constantly pulling the "race card" when something doesn't go their way. Even if Black people want to continue to live with the idea that they can't be racist, truth is, White people did it for years and some still do and the ultimate truth will remain,
ALL PEOPLE CAN BE RACIST. This is stupid if you ask me, because in the end we are all from the same TWO people. Adam and Eve.

only whites have the power on the LARGER scale and in terms of how society is structured to be racist

Well I have met Nagin several times.
He became mayor because he was the only mayor who was honest vs. the past ones that stole everything. But here is another thing i noticed since I grew up in the north.
New Orleans seems to have very little structure.
Little education
Less economic impowerment
and a wwhole lot of ignorance.
As far as Mexcican labor this is the same stuff we study in class. For hundereds of years you had the english hating low wage irish workers, then the irish hated on ther italians. hen the italians on the polish. And of course during this time everybody hated US.
Mexcicans and easter european workers are just the new **** on the American block.
New Orleans hardly had any hispanic people. they dont like it when people from TEXAS come over because they are very cliqish!
