Is anyone worried about their ACT/SAT scores. I just got my score report back from the October ACT and i got a 19. I wanna go to Howard but i need at least a 26 to get the lowest scholarship. I also wanted to apply for the Ron Brown Scholar and Jackie Robinson Foundation but im afraid that my score is not high enough. And i cant catch the December test in time to turn in the application so i am stuck with this score. The next ACT test is in February which is past the Ron Brown Scholar application deadline. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I use this book called McGraw Hill's SAT I Second Edition. It is really good for studying for the test and it come's with a cd. It only cost 29.95 and its worth it. The probably that I have is finding time to sit down and focus on the book. I get distracted so easily, sometimes i try to leave lunch and go to the school library and practice the book. I hope i can raise my SAT score to at least 1150 or 1200. I really wanna raise my score I just hope that the book will help. I have to take the test next weekend Jan 28 wish me luck!

I am a believer that you can have what ever you want in life if you don't be scared to go out there and get it. Do you all day and you can worry about it at night.

We are in the same boat. I got into Howard with a 24 I'm planning on taking the test again and aiming for a 26.
honestly even if you have a 20 ACT and are a black MALE w/ a decent GPA you will have plethora of options for college, including Harvard...There are more black women applying for colleges so the competition is slightly worse, but really not to bad.
nahh... u wont get harvard w/ a 20, no offense. my bro ddnt get harvard w/ a 26ACT, 3.8gpa, & extracurriculars.. I know a black athlete who could've played football @ harvard but he couldn't get a 29 on the ACT so they wouldn't admit him...
@jeejee
I meant howard not Harvard..lol..I think he knows he cant go to Harvard. A 26 or a 29 ACT isn't even enough.
