I have a question for all the out-of-state students who are headed to the AUC: My mom said that if i don't get the maximum from the FAFSA that i won't be able to go to Spelman, being that it is a very expensive private school and all, but i know a lot of people who are going to out-of-state schools and they are not rich soo how are some of you handling the costs, including tuition & room and board??
Yea I hear ya cause Morehouse is not the cheapest college either. I have a few scholarships and the rest will just have to prob come from loans.

make scholarship searches ya full time job. also learn how to take the ACT. i took a lot of time out and did that and got a good score. good scores=money at HBCUs. i'm paying for juss room n board. but after scholarships i won't be paying anymore than about $3,000 for the yr.

Waz up? Im going to be a freshman at morehouse college c/o 2008. I am in the honors program and want to know more about the program. Specifically, how is Graves Hall in terms of beauty and practicality. Lastly, how can one benefit from the honors program and are the honor classes extremely hard?

Well, I finally got my housing infromation from Spelman. i will be staying in Abby hall. the bad thing is that i dont have a roomate. I am somewhat disapointed because I thought it would be kind of fun to have a roomate to talk and share things with. I am in a single room. I guess I just have to make more of an effort to get out and meet people.
I have a friend who thought she was going to have a roomate but Spelman sent her housing back with no name on it, either. Housing sent me a letter saying that I have temporary housing, but they didn't say where. If I can't get any housing on campus, then they will let me stay at Ashley Terraces. Can anybody tell me about these apartments?

^^^ me and you are in the same situation with the temporary housing, but i decided to just go ahead and live off campus because i felt like spelman was playing too many games with the housing. But as far as ashley terraces, i dont know anything about that, but they did send me information on the village at castleberry hill, i dont know which one is better, but i know that the village is near the school, so you can walk.
