My father crossed a GLO and I was looking into pledging the same thing. I really want to get in on my own Merit rather then using his name to "coast in" would it be more wise to go in as a legacy or to just not mention it. How would they know anyways? And If I decided I want to pledge another organization, would that be looked down on for not following my father's path?

I know that most parents would love for their children to follow in their footsteps, I know I would, but we all must follow our own path. My daughter would have all of my love and emotional support, if she choose to join a different sorority. But, I would not be able to finacially support her in her decision. Besides the financial support, I could NEVER imagine looking down on my daughter for her decision (I have heard of cases like this).
