I'm currently majoring in Music Business. I want to change my major to something else because I want to be realistic about my career goals. Its really hard to get into many of the well paying sectors of the music industry and I need a concrete career that I can go into right after school where I'll be making enough so that I won't be struggling. However, the best only thing that I'm really good and knowledgable at is anything dealing with the creation of music. I sucked in english class. I suck at math. Is changing my major good idea or do I just need try being successful at something else?
well... if your other subjects are weak points, i say stick with what you have right now... yeah it's hard gettin into the door in the music industry, but you don't want to change your major and end up not doing what you really want to do and be happy for the rest of your life... i majored in Comp Sci b/c i was focused on money, but i realized quickly how bad i sucked at it, so i changed to Broadcast Production... I rather make less money doing what i like than more money doing something miserable... and if things don't happen for you right away in music, just stick with it by working w/ music beats on your own, or working at a music store... but stick with what you got
