When I arrived at school my freshman year, I was confronted with the most ignorant stereotypes about the south, ever. People asked me if Kentuckians wore shoes, were incestuous, and lived in huts with dirt floors. I just laughed at them of course, but thats what people thought of folks from Kentucky. Of course non of it is or was true.
 I'm guilty of feeding into stereotypes....but I blame TV Anyway, people think that NYers are rude and stuck up.....I could care less

hmmm.....coming from Cincinnati was a change because people in tha nati aren't tryna do nothing with their lives and they hate when they see you doing something with yours. In ATL people like to see others doing good...even nigz in the trap was given me grief about gettin kicked outta school...I got dope boys cussin me out for not studyin and writin my papers....People in the A like too see others suceed whereas peeps in the nati are always tryna keep you down...
yeah thaz how peeps is in Cleveland too...i mean it's alot of them doing their thang at the community college and at other colleges in the area but aint nobody tryna get out of Cleveland...it aint that great to wanna stay here! But my sis in Chicago basically got me to get out of Cleveland because she know people here is gon try and hold me back... But let me know if u heard anything about Cleveland and I'll try to tell you if it's true (if u even heard anything about us)

Hmm.. I heard that people over in Cali can get Chucks for like $15-25 bucks... whereas over in Michigan its like 30-40 dollas a pop.. if there is any validity to this, can y'all let me know, so I can get y'all to smuggle me some? I really love Chucks, but they are draining my already INSUFFICIENT funds... :?

hmm.....after goin' to school for 2 years I noticed that some people really do ACT OUT their region/cities' stererotype. New Yorkers - Can't say a complete sentence: "Word? its like dat, son?" "Yo ma! What's really good?" "Yo....you see shorty at dat one jumpoff?" "Fallback fam, fallback!" Not to mention that ya'll are some of the most PASSIONATE folx I've ever seen argue about something. Heaven forbid you EVER bring up the debate between Jay-Z and Nas. Somebody will lose their life. People from Jersey - Ya'll are just confused. You can always tell what part of Jersey somoen came from by the way they talk and dress. South Jersey is nothing more than an extension of East Philly, and Northern Jersey is just a annex of New York. Philly Cats - Ya'll swear that Philly is its own state, ya'll refuse to claim Pennsylvannia at all. Plus ya'll talk slow, and what the hell is a Jawn I've narrowed it down to being a noun, it can be a person place or thing. "Yo, I'm sayin' tho, did you see that one Jawn I was chillin' with in front of the Jawn last week?" "Oh, you mean when we left to go to that Jawn last Friday? Yo, that Jawn was bangin yo" West Coast - Ya'll some straight punks when it comes to winter. Atlanta doesn't know the MEANING of winter, but let it drop below 50 degrees, everybody from Cali rushes out to go buy a Winter Coat and matching gloves. "Oohhh, its coooold down here! I can't believe there's actually ice on the ground!" Chi-town - Black folx must not live in any other city in Illinios 'cept Chicago. I have yet to meet any black person and they tell me, "Yea, I'm from Mound City" or "Springfield" EVVVERY black person is from Chicago.
