As you should know elections are coming up. A lot of college students are unaware that they have to register absentee around election time because they are out of state. I don't know about other counties but in my county you don't send the absentee form before a date in September, i'm not sure which date but call your county election offices for more excuses. Here are some links for different states about absentee voting. *You register absentee under your home state, NOT the state of your college. Alabama http://www.sos.state.al.us/election/index.cfm California http://www.ss.ca.gov/elections/elections_m.htm#apply Connecticut http://www.sots.state.ct.us/ElectionsDivision/Elecform.html Delaware http://www.co.delaware.oh.us/boe/absentee.htm District of Columbia http://www.dcboee.org/serv/absentee_voting.shtm Florida (Everybody bow your head in prayer...) http://election.dos.state.fl.us/absenteevoting.shtml Georgia http://www.sos.state.ga.us/elections/elections/default.htm Illinois www.elections.state.il.us/elecinfo/pages/downloads/pdf/absevote.pdf Indiana http://www.activoteamerica.com/IN/in.html Kentucky www.sos.state.ky.us/Elecfil/ Genelectionfiles/voterguide.asp Lousiana http://www.activoteamerica.com/LA/la.html Maryland www.elections.state.md.us/voters/absentee_ballot.html Massachusettes www.****.state.ma.us/ele/eleifv/howabs.htm Michigan www.michigan.gov/sos/0,1607,7-127-1633_11976_11987-28039--,00.html Minnesota www.sos.state.mn.us/election/absentee.html Mississippi www.sos.state.ms.us/elections/voterinfoguide.asp Missouri www.sos.mo.gov/forms/elections/absentee.pdf New Jersey www.lwvnj.org/absentee.html New York http://www.elections.state.ny.us/voting/absentee.htm North Carolina http://www.app.sboe.state.nc.us/voterweb/voter_ab.htm Ohio www.electionsonthe.net/oh/absentee.htm Oklahoma www.elections.state.ok.us/absentee.html Pennsylvania http://pa.lwv.org/voting/absentee.html Rhode Island http://www.elections.ri.gov/mailvote.htm South Carolina www.state.sc.us/scsec/absent.htm Tennessee http://civilliberty.about.com/od/statebystate/f/TNvoteFAQ.htm Texas http://civilliberty.about.com/od/statebystate/f/TXvoteFAQ.htm Virginia http://www.sbe.state.va.us/Election/AbsenteeVoting/absente1.htm Wisconsin http://elections.state.wi.us/sebpage33.html The states listed are purely on assumption of where most of you live. If your state wasn't mentioned hit me up and I'll find you a link. Remember that you register under YOUR STATE, not the state of your college. Also if you ain't registered, which is a damn shame  , I'm sure the links will lead you to a way to registered . This privilege and right to vote is taken for granted by so many of us, but don't forget that our people fought and died for something that seems so simple for us.

For the elections u can vote in GA since you are registered there, don't worry abot the absentee ballott Texas won't allow you to do it.

Since you are registered in that county you can go vote somewhere there. But a lot of college students aren't registered in the county of their school so they have to fill out an absentee because we qualify for it since we are away from where we are registered at.

I probably should've posted this earlier, but in Michigan we had a primary, and if you voted there, then you could vote in the presidential elec. thru absentee ballots.. I think it really doesn't matter tho, cuz if it is on your L then it should be OK, but if anyone knows, let ME know...

I was watching something on one of those late shows, and they had Andre 3000 on the show. They got all over him about how he said he was out of the country and couldn't vote or something.

I registered at 17. In most states if you are 17 and a couple months from turning 18 you can go ahead and register. Check to see if you can.
