Yo I would go 2 years younger but it would be rare. With the case of him 26 AND HER 17 Thats BEASTIN' and he should be locked up.

One of my homegirls (age 16) was dating this 24 year old guy and they were both fine with the age thing. We wanna say that most older guys only want one thing from a female, but on the other hand we don't want to make an ASSumption based on generalizations. I questioned the intentions of the guy my friend was dating but I really couldn't say anything because guys older than that have tried to get at me. Me personally, I don't feel comfortable talking to a guy more than two years older than me. As for younger guys, depends on their maturity. But being that I'm already young it could only be like a year or two difference. Different people have different maturity levels. As some people have said, you gotta focus on the person's maturity and personality and such. Some people are just more mature at younger ages than other people. Some people wouldn't believe that I'm 16 if they sat down and had a conversation with me.

Wow...only females thinnk it's coo for a 16/17 year old to date a 25/26 year old. I am 19 and I won't say I would never date a girl younger than 18, but most likely, I wouldn't. When I am 25-26, it's no damn reason in the world that I would even want to talk to a 16-17 year old, or even a 19-20 year old if I am at the level that I hope to be at. Females may be more mature than dudes in general, but when it is that big of an age gap at this crucial age where we are all going through major changes, then it is a big difference.
