My mother had to be ghetto and name me Chimere But I found that Shamira means "guardian, protector" in Hebrew, so I guess I can claim that!!!! :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll:

My name is Greek and Welsh. It means mighty, strong able, & pearl. My name is pronouced MEG-an not MAY-gan. When people ask me my name and I tell them, they'll say "Damn, girl, you country!" and still call me MAY-gan not realizing I was serious. It gets irritating at times. :lol:

Behind the names is the best site for finding out the meanings www.behindthename.com My first name is Old English for town on the clay bed (Clayton). . . which is interesting because my father's family moved onto their current farm (on a clay bed) when grandma was pregnant with him. My last name means "son"
