Is it Slavery?

Is religion a form of 'slavery'; a means to control, a means to keep people in 'check', with all its ideologies and so forth or does it truly 'liberate' you? What are your thoughts...

I dont think it's a form of slavery...because as I recall there is no one forcing you to go to church, pick up the Bible, pray, worship God. You're not getting punished for not doing these things...it's all by schoice so how is that slavery, because you can stop believing in God or going to church whenver you want to??
