From: Aprille Ericsson, Ph.D. Subject: Fwd: New African American Board Game A new board game has entered the market and is swiftly capturing national attention, the game is Prosperity. Prosperity is a first-class product on many levels. The physical design is a work of art, constructed (100% made in USA) with high quality board game materials, i.e. instead of the standard multi-colored plastic pawns they used custom designed real pewter game pieces. On one level, all players begin the game as mega-millionaires, then proceed to build empires as they experience a host of surprises. On an entrepreneurial level, players have the opportunity to own many types of property: high profit (Hotel), regular profit (Restaurant), low profit (HBCU), and/or no[n] profit (House of Worship). Prospective owners experience purchase financing, cooperative purchasing, sophisticated contract options, contract enforcement, fee or commission compensation, as well as tax responsibilities. And, on a deeper cultural level, players see Black faces on high value currency, see symbols of Black academic achievement, experience investment in Black communities, and exercise progressive cooperative economics in a achievement driven environment that happens to be Black. The game is flexible enough to be played with or without the rules. It is a great teaching/mentoring tool for bright children age 8 and above. Prosperity can be viewed at www.funwithwealth.com, played at a local library, or purchased and enjoyed from generation to generation. Now that you know, share the wealth, tell a friend. ::::::: _______________________________________ Aprille Ericsson, Ph.D. , D.Sc., HU Trustee NASA GSFC, Code 556 Instrument Systems Branch -----------------------------------------------
